In vitro fertilization (IVF)
Scientifically Accurate
We communicated with experienced embryologists to ensure each detail is as scientifically accurate as possible
For example, there is specific shape of petri dishes used in transferring the eggs so as to regulate the temperature. We also accurately depicted how, contrary to common perception, some sperm would push away the other sperm to make way for one sperm to enter the egg
Attention to Detail
The ovaries in the animation are modeled on real life ovaries, with the eggs deflating after being extracted. The needle used is also opaque instead of transparent, which we have carefully depicted in the animation
There are also six drops of eggs in the petri dish that are placed in the same position as the real process, giving an accurate and detailed depiction of the process
Clear Presentation
We also included a storyboard of zygote formation within the animation, which is approved by embryologists. This helps increase understanding of the whole process
